    • 1. If you have doubts about the legitimacy of a transaction performed at your bank account or if your debit card has been abused, approach your bank immediately and notify them on the facts. If your debit card has been lost of abused, block the card immediately with your bank over their customer contact line, or, in person. Report the facts to the Czech Police.
    • 2. If you are convinced that a transaction performed at your account (such as transfer of funds, transactions arising from use of the debit card, settlement adjustment, collection form of payment within the Czech Republic) is unauthorised, complain about them in writing with your institution.
    • 3. If you are unsuccessful with your complaint with your institution and if the respective complaint falls in the jurisdiction of the Financial Arbitrator, send in your petition for instituting a proceeding before the Financial Arbitrator. You may send your petition both electronically and by mail.
    • 4. The Financial Arbitrator, subject to considering the existent deficiencies (if any) and admissibility of the petition, institutes the proceeding.
    • 5. The proceeding as a rule concludes with an award granted by the Financial Arbitrator, except where the proceeding has been discontinued due to justified reasons.
    • 6. A written counterpart of the award is delivered to the own hand of the parties to the proceeding without undue delay.
    • 7. The parties to the dispute may file justified objections against the award. The Financial Arbitrator will issue a decision on the objections to either confirm or alter the award. A written counterpart of the decision on objections is delivered to the own hand of the parties to the proceeding. The decision on the objections is final and conclusive.
